About Father Sahd

On Saturday, June 28, 2014 Bishop Ronald W. Gainer ordained Kyle Steven Sahd to the Priesthood. Kyle will officially assume the role of Parochial Vicar for St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on July 14, 2014.

Father Sahd, was born in Columbia, PA and is a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and Bloomsburg University. He attended seminary at St. Vincent in Latrobe, PA and completed his studies for the Priesthood at the North American College in Rome, Italy. He is a member of Holy Trinity Parish in Columbia, PA.

Sahd has 3 brothers, one was ordained a Priest for the Diocese of Scranton and another is currently studying for the Priesthood for the Diocese of Harrisburg.

His first Mass was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, 409 Cherry Street, Columbia, PA on Sunday, June 29 2014. He is the son of Ronald and Karen Sahd, Columbia, PA.

During his studies for the Priesthood Sahd had summer assignments at the following parishes in the Diocese of Harrisburg; St. Peter’s (Elizabethtown), St. Bernard (New Bloomfield), St. Joan of Arc (Hershey) and St. Andrew (Waynesboro). He was ordained a Deacon October 3, 2013, in Rome, Italy.
