This Sunday EVEYONE is invited to join us after the 9AM Mass for a family of family breakfast, celebrating our Grandparents! Hope to see you there!
Pope Francis has established the World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly to be celebrated every year on the fourth Sunday of July. The choice of the fourth Sunday of July is transparently to connect it, as closely as possible, to the July 26 feast of Saint Joachim and Anne, the parents of Mary and grandparents of Jesus. This link to Jesus’ family tree and to salvation history suggests that everyone’s genealogy and personal prehistory is part of the providential plan of God. Family is priceless, and the role of grandparents is truly one of a kind. With a lifetime of experience and wisdom, they offer guidance, laughter, and love, making them some of the most treasured members of any family, and that’s why cherishing time with them is so important.
Together, we can strengthen our community and restore our faith. See how you can make a lasting impact through our capital campaign!
There will be adoration all day this Friday, June 27th starting after the daily Mass at 10:00 AM till 6:00 PM when there will be Evening Prayer and Benediction. All are invited to spend an hour or more with our Lord.
The Knights of Columbus Traveling Sacred Heart Icon is currently reposed in the Church at St. Mark. There is a sign-up sheet on the church bulletin board for anyone to commit an hour to be in the presence of the Sacrament.
After the procession we will come together in the social hall for a spaghetti dinner hosted by the Knights of Columbus. All are welcome to join us for a beautiful afternoon of prayer, song, procession and fellowship.
Last weekend we were blessed to have a visiting priest from Cross Catholic Outreach. Thank you, Father Mac!
